Power Electronics Lab
The Power Electronics Lab offers comprehensive testing facilities for the characterisation, design, assembly and evaluation of power electronic converters and magnetic components. The lab also facilitates the evaluation and research of power semiconductor components.
Our state-of-the-art infrastructure includes equipment such as power hardware-in-the-loop setups for real-time simulations, programmable high-power alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) power supplies and loads, high-frequency measuring instruments, precision power analysers for efficiency assessments, a rapid prototyping platform, thermal imaging cameras, 3D printers and PCB manufacturing equipment.
Furthermore, our lab utilises AI tools designed to support and optimise the design process for power components and converters through automated design methodologies.
