At EnergyVille, we develop innovative battery management systems (BMS) that enable the safe and efficient use of batteries in a wide range of mobile and stationary applications.
Our BMS technology builds on monitoring systems originally developed in-house for fuel cell applications. The same approach can also be applied to other energy storage technologies, such as supercapacitors, or to hybrid systems that combine multiple storage technologies.
Accurate Monitoring and Diagnostics
Continuous measurement and analysis of individual cells and battery packs provide a detailed understanding of battery performance. This enables accurate assessment of both the state of charge and the state of health of a battery system.
To meet diverse application requirements, we develop flexible and configurable BMS hardware and software that can be tailored to specific customer needs.
Next-Generation BMS Technology
Our next-generation BMS research focuses on distributed architectures with electronics connected directly to, or even integrated into, individual battery cells.
We are also advancing battery models and data-driven techniques, including machine learning. These technologies can help estimate battery degradation, detect failures at an early stage and further improve system reliability and performance.
Integrating Batteries into Energy Systems
By connecting battery management systems with building and vehicle management systems, we support the safe and cost-efficient integration of batteries into broader energy and mobility applications.
