Medium Voltage Lab
Electricity grid operators increasingly need accurate information about what is going on in their grid. Using smart sensors at strategic locations in the grid, various equipment can be better monitored. As a result, the availability, maintenance costs and lifetime of this equipment can be optimized. In addition, we are seeing a growing deployment of power electronic converters in and around the grid. EnergyVille’s Medium Voltage Lab provides the perfect opportunity to flexibly test these sensors and converters before they are actually deployed in the distribution and transmission network. With the ability to test both AC and DC at high voltage (in the 100kV range), the lab provides a comprehensive and advanced testing environment.
