Bram De Wispelaere Appointed New General Manager of EnergyVille

Genk, 26 August 2025 – EnergyVille, the leading research centre for sustainable energy and smart energy systems, announces the appointment of Bram De Wispelaere (MSc Eng) as its new General Manager. With his extensive experience in the energy sector and his vision for innovation and sustainability, De Wispelaere will take the strategic lead in further strengthening EnergyVille as a driving force behind the energy transition in Belgium and Europe. 

A seasoned energy sector professional

With 23 years of experience in the energy sector, Bram De Wispelaere has built expertise across the entire value chain—from production and infrastructure to market operations and policy. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Energy in the Federal Government and has held various governance and advisory roles within the sector. As an engineer and energy specialist, he has consistently championed technological innovation and sustainable energy solutions. His academic background and practical expertise make him the ideal candidate to prepare EnergyVille for the future.
