INCREASE Summer School 2026
We warmly invite you to mark your calendars for the INCREASE Summer School 2026, which will be held at EnergyVille in Genk, Belgium, on 24–25 August, 2026.
Bringing together researchers, industry professionals, architects, engineers, policymakers and other stakeholders, this two-day event will explore the latest developments in the decarbonization of buildings with the help of photovoltaics. The summer school aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and the construction sector, supporting the wider adoption of solar technologies in buildings and infrastructure across Europe.
Organised within the Horizon Europe INCREASE project and in conjunction with the EnergyVille Summer School, the programme will offer a unique interdisciplinary perspective covering topics such as:
- Integrated PV and BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) technologies and innovation
- Architecture, building design and aesthetics of solar integration
- Energy systems, electrification and grid integration
- Energy management and storage solutions
- Policy, regulation, financing and business models
- Stakeholder engagement, co-creation and collaborative innovation
Participants will benefit from expert-led sessions, networking opportunities, interactive discussions and site visits. A highlight of the programme will be a visit to Soltech, providing first-hand insights into the manufacturing and application of innovative solar building materials.
Participants will also have the opportunity to present themselves – we will ask them to give us an indication of their work and interests.
