Wonder in Genk during Day of Science
Hundreds of visitors in the labs of EnergyVille.
On Sunday, November 26, people of all ages explored the endless possibilities of science, technology, and innovation throughout Flanders during the annual Day of Science. With 837 activities at 80 different locations, Flanders had something in store for everyone. EnergyVille opened its doors with lectures, demos, a workshop for children, and many other activities.
From brainteasers and solar panels ...
Adult visitors could chart their own course through the labs and were given information of the research done at EnergyVille on various topics, from solar panels, batteries, heat networks to power electronics. Children, on the other hand, were invited to challenge their brains and built a game computer under the motto “work before play”.
... to robotraces and drones
Also at Thor Park, the T2-Campus opened its doors – with partners SyntraPXL, VDAB, EducaThor, PlastIQ, and the Technologiebende. Visitors could experiment with various technologies, including virtual reality, drones, robot races, and various scientific experiments, including the interactive experience space of TECHville.
