High-Efficiency Cell Technology and Module Technology

To achieve the highest possible energy yield, EnergyVille is exploring various avenues to enhance the efficiency of PV cells and module technologies. Recently, there has been significant interest in bifacial crystalline silicon modules, capable of capturing light from both sides, thereby increasing the module’s energy output. Our researchers utilize these highly efficient bifacial cells as a foundation, combining them with optimized cell metallization techniques and multi-wire interconnection technologies.

Building upon these advancements, we’ve developed the concept of woven interconnection plates by weaving encapsulation ribbons and metal wires into a single fabric. This concept not only saves materials but also eliminates multiple process steps, all while being compatible with industry-standard lamination machines. This interconnection technology is, therefore, a valuable new building block for building- and vehicle-integrated PV systems.
