⚡ Welcome to the registration form for the EnergyVille PhD Day 2024, a day dedicated to welcome the new members of our community, share scientific results, work on our skills, and get to know each other better! So, come along and meet the other PhD students working at EnergyVille ⚡

Date: Friday 25th of October, from 09:00 to 20:00 h.

Location: EnergyVille 1 & 2 – Thor Park 8310, 3600 Genk.

Program: 

  • 9h30-10h: Social breakfast & coffee break
  • 10h-11h: Opening plenary session by Prof. Dr. Ivan Gordon: “Linking research, industry and policy making to accelerate the energy transition.”
  • 11h-11h15: Coffee break
  • 11h15-12h30: Pitching your PhD contest (prizes for the winning participants)
  • 12h30-14h: Food truck lunch
  • 14h-16h: Ronnie Belmans’ Best PhD Award Ceremony
  • 16h-18h: 
    Workshop session “AI and ethics in research: the case of ChatGPT”
    or
    lab tour at EV1 and EV2
  • 18h-20h: Reception

Note that, as a PhD student, you are likely to obtain doctoral school credits for participating to this event. Please inform the organizers (phdcommittee@energyville.be) if you are no longer able to attend, cancellation rules from your mother institution may apply.

As a PhD student, I would like to participate to the "Pitch your PhD" contest(Vereist)
With maximum one slide and not more than 1 or 2 minutes, pitch your PhD to the other students in a way that is original and understandable to everyone. Reusing the content from FWO interviews or equivalent is of course welcome. Participation of PhD newcomers is highly encouraged ! Please send your 1 slide to phdcommittee@energyville.be before the 24th of October, so that we can assemble them all in one computer.
