On Sunday 23 November, EnergyVille will once again be heading to the T2 campus for Science Day! From advanced batteries to smart buildings and the grid of the future, our researchers will take you on a journey into the world of sustainable energy. A day full of demonstrations, experiments and discoveries – for young and old alike.

Energy research touches all of our lives!
At EnergyVille, we investigate how we can generate, store and use energy in a smart way. During Science Day, we will show you what goes on behind the scenes in the world of energy: from a sparking Tesla generator to solar energy and your own handmade digital watch. Get ready for real science in action and come and discover for yourself how we are building the energy system of tomorrow.
📆 When: Sunday 23 November 2025

What to expect?
This year, we have lots of spectacular things in store for you! Discover all the exciting activities you can take part in.

Expedition Energy!
Curious about how we at EnergyVille are contributing to the energy transition? We are looking for smart and sustainable ways to generate, store and use energy – and we would love to show you how on Science Day at the T2 campus!
What do we do with solar energy, heat, batteries and smart grids? We’ll explain it to you in a playful way – with facts, hands-on activities and a good dose of fun. For curious children and adults with a healthy appetite for science!
Will we see you there?

Excitement & sparks with EnergyVille’s musical Tesla generator!
A Tesla generator – named after inventor Nikola Tesla – is a device that generates high voltage spikes. It is often used in experiments involving electricity and magnetism, and is known for its spectacular sparks and arcs. Sometimes they even move to music!
During Science Day, our colleagues from EnergyVille will demonstrate this impressive device live on the T2 campus.
Fancy some crackling energy, flashing sparks and a good dose of science? Be sure to come along and experience it up close!

Make your own digital wristwatch with EnergyVille!
Want to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on? Make your own digital watch!
Take a number, choose your favourite colour and join our mini production line. Our enthusiastic engineers and radio amateurs are ready to help you with the soldering – around 50 tiny dots, so concentration and fun are guaranteed!
After a successful final test, you can proudly take your homemade watch home with you. Expect around 30 minutes of crafting fun, technology and teamwork!
